Kelly is seeking a dedicated Tooling Technician to join our Plastics Tooling Department. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning plastic injection molds to ensure they meet the stringent requirements of our production team. 

Shift: Monday-Friday Swing Shift 2 PM – 10:30 PM
Must be available to train for 1 month 6:00am-2:30pm
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and develop the necessary skills to maintain and support plastic injection molds and tooling.

  • Assist with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities under the guidance of experienced tooling personnel.

  • Support tooling projects, spare component fabrication, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements:

  • High School diploma, GED

  • Standing for entire shift

  • Lifting up to 50lbs

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use hand tools, basic shop equipment, and precision measuring instruments.

  • 2-3 years of experience in reading and following work instructions, technical drawings, and preventative maintenance procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or plastic injection molding environment.

  • 2-3 years of experience in basic machining, metalworking, or equipment maintenance activities.

  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, or Lean Manufacturing principles.
