Machine Operator – Welder
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (Fridays required during busy season)
Location: Kindred, ND
Pay Rate: $20 per hour + (DOE)
Job Summary:
Kelly is seeking a skilled Machine Operator–Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, fabrication, assembly, and welding of structural metal products using a variety of machines and tools.
Essential Job Functions:
- Efficiently set up and operate Stamtec Press, Press Brake, and/or Floor Machine for routine established work
- Load, install, and correctly set up tools as required, including computer set-up
- Verify work pieces conform to specifications using precision measurement tools
- Safely operate forklifts and other equipment to handle materials and completed work
- Operate hand power tools and other equipment to complete projects
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and schematics to determine welding processes
- Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment
- Assist team members as needed and perform other assigned duties
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of machine operation and welding experience required
- Competent with basic dimensional measuring and math; able to learn precision tools quickly
- Computer knowledge is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Physical Demands:
- Continuous walking, standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, reaching, and handling
- Ability to lift at least 75 pounds
- Working near moving mechanical parts, noise, and exposure to outdoor elements
