Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $26.00 per hour

1st – 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday

What’s a typical day- You’ll be:

  • Overseeing and supporting indirect tax compliance processes, including coordination of data and payment requests with third-party advisors for sales and use tax, property tax, and business licenses

  • Preparing and filing select indirect tax returns such as Federal Form 2290 Heavy Highway Use Tax Return, Connecticut Highway Use Tax Return, and quarterly sales and use tax chargebacks

  • Assisting with tax registrations and other compliance-related filings

  • Providing support for direct tax compliance, including preparing federal and state tax workpapers, returns, state income tax estimates and extensions, and international data collection for federal forms

  • Assisting in resolving federal, state, and other tax notices

  • Monitoring and summarizing developments in tax legislation and assessing potential impacts

  • Performing tax research and clearly documenting conclusions

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)

  • Possess 1–2 years of public accounting and/or corporate tax experience (preferred)

  • Have experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Corptax, BNA Tax Research, OneStream, or similar systems (a plus)

  • Demonstrate clear communication skills and attention to detail

  • Are analytical, a strong problem solver, and able to work collaboratively across teams

  • Can take responsibility for deliverables and work independently
