Job details
Kelly® Professional & Industrial is hiring dependable and motivated Packer & Labeler Associates for a manufacturing facility in Kinston, North Carolina.
In this role, you will pack, inspect, and label cartons, cups, and lids while helping maintain product quality, production efficiency, and a safe work environment.
Schedule
Monday through Friday
- 1st Shift: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
- 2nd Shift: 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.
- 3rd Shift: 12:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m.
Pay
$15.91 per hour
Job Responsibilities
- Pack sleeves of cartons, cups, and lids into cases, bags, or trays.
- Apply labels and verify that products are packaged correctly.
- Inspect products for defects and report quality concerns immediately.
- Follow production instructions and company quality standards.
- Stop equipment or clear minor machine jams when instructed and safe to do so.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Complete additional production and packaging duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to add and subtract four-digit numbers accurately.
- Basic mechanical understanding of production equipment.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and make routine product-quality decisions.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to distinguish colors accurately.
- Dependable attendance and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Previous manufacturing, packaging, or production experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Frequent lifting of items weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Occasional lifting, pushing, or moving of items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Repetitive use of hands, fingers, and wrists.
- Ability to climb one step to access machine feeder platforms.
- Ability to work safely around moving equipment and lift trucks.
Work Environment
Employees may be exposed to:
- Noise levels above 85 decibels.
- Paper dust.
- Moving machinery and powered industrial equipment.
- Chemicals, including toluene, ethyl acetate, and various alcohols.
- Hot, humid, or changing workplace temperatures.
