Clear Ballot Operator (Temporary, Full-Time)
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Employment Dates: 08/03/2026 – 09/03/2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Plus Overtime as Needed)
Classification: Temporary Staff / Full-Time
Location: Orlando, FL

Position Summary:
The Clear Ballot Operator ensures the proper functioning of Clear Ballot scanners and assists with the accurate packaging of voted ballots. This role requires strict adherence to nonpartisanship and professionalism, working both independently and as part of a team. Direct supervision is provided by the Service Technician – Auditor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Clear Ballot station scanners to audit voted ballots

  • Carefully package and label voted ballots

  • Accurately record batch counts and other information on control sheets

  • Assist with opening/removing voted vote-by-mail ballots from certificate envelopes if required

  • Verify ballots processed via duplication if needed

  • Hand-count and sort ballots and certificate envelopes to resolve issues

  • Display professionalism and act in the best interest of the Supervisor of Elections office

  • Carry out and report status on any assigned task as directed by management

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs

  • Strong organization and attention to detail

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a warehouse setting

  • Maintain strict nonpartisanship in all duties

  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-profile environment

  • Commitment to teamwork and public service

  • Dedication to task completion and job quality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Availability for extended days and weekends on short notice

  • Prior experience with the Supervisor of Elections

 Candidates must be available for the full duration of the assignment.
