Kelly is hiring for a Production/Process Equipment Operator II for a 12-month assignment contract role at Wilmington, IL 60481 with our prestigious client.

Job Title: Production/Process Equipment Operator II     
Primary Location: Wilmington, IL 60481
12 – month contract assignment – Onsite role

Pay rate: $20.81/hr. for day shift and $1 additionally for night shift.

Multiple Shifts:
Sunday – Tuesday Day Shift 6AM – 6PM
Sunday – Tuesday Night Shift 6PM – 6AM
Wed – Fri – Day Shift 6AM – 6PM

Optional extra day once a month to bring total number of hours worked to avg 40 hr per week. – Overtime eligible and available

Responsibilities:

  • Package finished cans or products safely and efficiently according to production standards and work instructions

  • Operate and monitor packaging equipment, including conveyors, labeling systems, sealing equipment, and palletizing systems

  • Inspect products and packaging materials for quality defects and remove non-conforming items from the line

  • Ensure accurate labeling, coding, and packaging configuration for all finished goods

  • Maintain proper supply of packaging materials (cartons, trays, tape, labels, etc.) to avoid downtime

  • Perform basic machine adjustments or notify maintenance of equipment issues to keep lines running efficiently

  • Follow all site safety policies, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards at all times

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas to support safe and efficient operations

  • Record production counts, packaging data, and downtime as required

  • Assist with loading, palletizing, and preparing finished goods for shipment

  • Work collaboratively with operators, leads, and supervisors to meet production targets and schedules

  • Support continuous improvement and efficiency efforts within the packaging area
