Immediate 3rd shift opportunity with leading manufacturer in De Pere, WI.

7:30pm-6:00am, Monday-Thursday

Overview
The CNC Set Up Operator is responsible for the fabrication of plastic products, applying knowledge of plastic to setups, cutting techniques, using precision instruments, hand tools, machines and equipment in order to produce parts on time and according to customer and production standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate multiple CNC machines
• Review blueprints and set-up sheets to make parts according to customer specifications
• Make adjustments and tooling offsets as needed
• Determine most efficient machine operation methods to maximize productivity and collaborate with Continuous Improvement leaders
• Perform first article inspections and collaborates with Quality Control to ensure high quality parts are produced
• Utilize gaging equipment to check parts and properly set up area near machine.
• Loads and unloads material using safe lifting practices
• Comply with all workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations (OSHA, local, and company specific).

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum 3 years of CNC machine operation experience, including the ability to set up and operate multiple CNC machines.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and customer specifications to produce parts accurately.

  • Minimum 1 year of CNC setup experience with basic knowledge of G and M code, including the ability to make tooling offset and machine adjustments.

  • Strong machining knowledge with the ability to identify efficient machine operation methods and troubleshoot setup or production issues.

  • Experience performing first article inspections and working with quality standards to ensure parts meet specifications.

  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments and gaging equipment to inspect parts and verify dimensional accuracy.

  • Ability to safely load and unload materials, follow OSHA and company safety requirements, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
