What’s a typical day as a Fish ID Technician? You’ll be:
• Performing routine fish identification duties, including coded-wire tagging, fin clipping, and other marking techniques under close supervision.
• Assisting the Lead and hatchery staff with quality inspections, trailer setup, and transferring fish from ponds or net pens to the trailer.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and other employee-used areas to maintain a safe working environment.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent; experience in aquaculture or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Are detail-oriented and able to follow instructions closely while working in a team environment.
• Can handle physical tasks and are comfortable working in various conditions, including outdoors and in a trailer setting.
