Technical Writing & Training Specialist – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
Location: Onsite – Page Avenue Facility
Duration: 3 Months (Initial Phase) | High Likelihood of Extension
Industry: Infection Prevention & Pharmaceutical Consumables
Are you a technical communicator who thrives on the production floor rather than behind a desk?
We are seeking a Technical Writing & Training Specialist to join our team at a critical point in our ERP transition. This isn’t your typical technical writing role; while you will maintain and update our standard operating procedures (SOPs), the heart of this position is empowering our workforce.
You will spend 60%–70% of your time on the production floor, working side-by-side with Process Operators, Supervisors, and Logistics teams to ensure our Oracle ERP transactions are executed “Right First Time.”
The Mission:
- Bridge the Gap: Take our robust Oracle User Guides and translate that knowledge directly to the production floor through one-on-one and small-group training.
- On-the-Floor Mentorship: Guide operators through filling, packaging, and forklift jobs within the Oracle system, providing the “why” behind the “how.”
- Maintain Compliance: Update and amend Work Instructions (WIs) and Job Aids to ensure they reflect current protocols and meet strict FDA, cGMP, and ISO standards.
- Collaborate with SMEs: Partner with engineers and quality teams to gather technical insights and refine documentation for clarity and ease of use.
- Drive Quality: Ensure documentation and execution are seamless, helping to minimize errors and maintain the integrity of our infection prevention products.
What We Are Looking For:
- The “Human” Element: You must be patient, a great listener, and able to interact positively with everyone from the warehouse floor to senior management.
- Technical Writing Foundation: Experience creating or editing SOPs, Work Instructions, and Validation Reports in a GMP-regulated environment.
- The Oracle Advantage: Prior experience navigating Oracle ERP is a huge plus, though we are willing to train a self-starter who is eager to master the system.
- Regulatory Savvy: Familiarity with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), PLM, or QMS.
- Adaptability: A “can-do” attitude and the ability to pivot between writing technical steps and conducting hands-on training.
Why This Opportunity?
You will be the primary support system for our production teams during a major system transition. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of our manufacturing process and the safety of the medical products we provide to hospitals worldwide.
If you are a self-starter who loves to teach and has a sharp eye for technical detail, let’s talk.
