Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Chemical Forklift Operator to join our team. Our company specializes in handling essential chemicals—including liquid chlorine and caustic soda—used by water treatment plants to ensure safe and clean water for communities. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong sit-down forklift experience, excellent attendance, and a commitment to learn and grow within the organization. This role involves operating forklifts, painting gas and liquid cylinders, working with hazardous materials, and supporting a safety-first culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts to safely transport materials, including liquid chlorine and caustic soda
  

• Paint gas and liquid cylinders to meet company and regulatory standards
  

• Safely handle and support processes involving liquid chlorine and caustic soda for water treatment applications
  

• Adhere strictly to safety protocols due to the hazardous nature of chemicals handled
  

• Maintain a clean, organized work area following safety guidelines
  

• Assist team operations as needed; respond positively to new job assignments
  

• Remain flexible and eager to learn new skills and processes as job requirements evolve

Qualifications

• Proven sit-down forklift experience; certification preferred
  

• Excellent attendance record; reliable and punctual
  

• Strong interest in learning new skills and job duties
  

• Safety-first work ethic and adherence to safety standards—especially with hazardous materials
  

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
  

• Willingness to work in a team environment and embrace expanding responsibilities
  

• Experience with gas or liquid cylinders and valves is a plus, but not required
