Job Title: Machine Operator
Schedule & Pay:
- Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
- $21/hour
Location: Goodyear, AZ 85338, United States
Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating production equipment under direct supervision, following established procedures and guidelines to maintain quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate manual production machinery, including wood molder and foam press machines; may receive training on the sheet metal machine
- Read and interpret job orders, diagrams, and blueprints to select, position, and secure machinery and materials
- Load, unload, lift, and move materials/products using lifting equipment when available
- Complete and maintain all related electronic documentation and paperwork, such as barcoding, checklists, stamping, blueprints, shipping/receiving documents, accessory lists, and scanning of materials
- Perform pre-shift preventative maintenance on equipment
- Maintain departmental housekeeping and adhere to 5S standards
Required Skills:
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete throughout the entire workday
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently; heavier items with assistance
- Manual dexterity for using hands/tools and visually inspecting products
- Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment
- Willingness and ability to wear all required personal protective equipment
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Less than one year of construction or manufacturing experience required.
- Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English
- Demonstrated ability to safely and effectively operate required equipment
