What’s a typical day as Mechanical Assembler? You’ll be:
- Assembling electrical and mechanical products to completion by following detailed electrical drawings and schematics
- Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical assembly fabrication drawings
- Working independently while adhering to a production schedule
- Participating in shop cleanup activities to maintain a safe and organized workspace
- Communicating with Shop Leads regarding quality issues and production schedules
- Assisting coworkers and supporting other tasks as needed
- Operating within the requirements of an ISO 9001 Quality System
- Collaborating with Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety employees to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have 2+ years of experience in assembly, including building assemblies, sub-assemblies, and wiring of components
- Are highly skilled at reading and interpreting assembly prints, schematics, and fabrication drawings
- Possess strong mechanical aptitude and excel at the physical assembly of parts
- Have experience in production line assembly and fine manipulation of components and wiring
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience using handheld power tools and drills (up to 65 in-lbs torque)
- Are able to stand, use hands to manipulate objects, and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Are committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance
