Industrial Electrician – Straight Afternoon Shift
Waterloo, ON | $42.76/hr + Shift Premium + Benefits
Kelly Services is proud to partner with a leading food manufacturing company in Waterloo to recruit an experienced Industrial Electrician to join their maintenance team.
This is a great opportunity for an Industrial Electrician who enjoys troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and working hands-on with industrial equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This role offers a consistent afternoon schedule, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to join a skilled maintenance team supporting a well-established facility.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, production equipment, and facility systems
- Perform electrical repairs on motors, sensors, control systems, instrumentation, and production machinery
- Complete preventative maintenance (PM) tasks to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Diagnose electrical issues and identify root causes to implement permanent solutions
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
- Assist with PLC troubleshooting and basic controls diagnostics
- Work with maintenance and production teams to prioritize repairs and keep equipment running efficiently
- Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and required reports accurately
- Maintain compliance with company safety standards, food safety requirements, GMPs, and HACCP procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all health and safety policies
What You Bring:
- 309A Industrial Electrician certification preferred
- 2–5 years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and production equipment
- Strong understanding of electrical controls, motors, sensors, and automation systems
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and work order systems
- PLC troubleshooting experience is an asset
- Mechanical aptitude or experience working alongside millwrights is considered an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Safety-focused mindset with strong attention to detail

Straight afternoon shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
