Position: Expeditor Shipper Receiver
Shift: 1st Shift (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable Expeditor to support our shipping and production operations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts, as well as pallet jacks, within a fast-paced, warehouse shipping environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with the FIFO inventory method, and the ability to read and write in English. The Expeditor ensures efficient movement of materials throughout the shop, contributing to on-time and accurate order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport finished materials from production cells to the shipping area using forklifts, carts, or pallet jacks.
  

• Put away materials into designated stock locations.
  

• Stage materials and orders in the shipping area for on-time delivery.
  

• Support shipping clerk duties as needed to meet delivery standards.
  

• Audit finished production orders, confirming quantities and labels match production orders.
  

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  

• Properly organize and file documents and records.
  

• Rotate inventory through racking systems using the FIFO method.
  

• Organize and tidy shelves daily; assign or relocate shelf locations for new items.
  

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
  

• Previous experience with both stand-up and sit-down forklifts is a must.
  

• Experience in a warehouse or shipping environment preferred.
  

• Ability to read and understand documents in English.
  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  

• Good organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  

• Understanding of basic computer functions and basic math skills.
  

• Ability to work independently after training as well as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous standing, moving, and reaching with arms and hands.
  

• Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and carrying items.
  

• Occasional use of ladders.
  

• Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a shop environment.
  

• Exposure to typical shop elements including noise, dust, and odors.
