Claims Processor I

Pay rate: $18.00 p/h
Shift: Monday – Friday 8AM – 5:30PM
Position Summary
Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of healthcare claims in accordance with company policies, regulations, and established guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, research, and process medical claims accurately and efficiently.
- Verify procedure and diagnosis codes to ensure proper claim adjudication.
- Investigate and resolve claim edits, audits, and processing errors using approved resources.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve claim issues and update member, provider, and insurance information.
- Maintain quality, accuracy, and productivity standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Basic math and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database applications.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, or healthcare claims is a plus.
