Pay: $18.50 – $19.50/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Assistant to Slitter Operator to join our team in West Chicago. This role supports the Slitter Operator on the production floor and plays a vital part in ensuring efficient, organized warehouse operations.

Essential Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Prepare and label finished rolls accurately for production orders.

  • Make cores based on operator specifications.

  • Prep production area with skid and flooring to protect rolls.

  • Move skids efficiently to the slitter for stacking rolls.

  • Organize and move rolls from slitter to skids in a systematic pattern.

  • Verify pick list matches roll count for quality assurance.

  • Safely transport heavy rolls using lifts or request assistance as needed.

  • Pull rolls from stock inventory as directed.

  • Remove scrap and transport to compactor.

  • (If forklift certified) Move skids to shipping prep area.

  • Maintain a clean work area using dust mop or floor scrubber.

  • Assist with any other duties as assigned by management.

Protection Wear Required:

  • Steel toe or similar protective footwear at all times.

  • Company-furnished back support.

  • Hearing protection.
