Job Title: Processing Specialist
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Processing Specialist to handle insurance documents for our financial institution clients. This position ensures accurate and timely homeowners property insurance coverage, directly supporting client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is dependable, able to manage deadlines, and skilled in making sound business decisions consistent with Assurant procedures and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process insurance documents accurately and efficiently to maintain continuous coverage for homeowners

  • Identify policy types (e.g., PUD, Townhome, Flood, Wind) and determine appropriate action

  • Make timely premium payments from escrow accounts

  • Balance multiple demands and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and quality standards

  • Communicate with insurance agents and carriers to verify information, update status, and ensure requirements are met

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships within the team

  • Address questions, concerns, and suggestions promptly and appropriately

  • Escalate issues as needed to meet the needs of clients and homeowners

  • Ensure smooth handoff of work between teams

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Basic computer skills

  • At least one year of work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to adapt to change

  • Experience in banking, finance, or mortgage lending

  • Proven ability to meet production and quality goals
