Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours/week, flexible between 9am–5pm EST, Mon–Fri
About the Role
Corteva Agriscience’s Crop Protection Marketing Communications team is seeking a detail-oriented Proofreader to play a critical quality control role in content review. This position ensures all marketing and communications materials meet Corteva’s exacting editorial standards before release across digital, web, print, email, social, and video channels. This backfill contract opportunity is perfect for those who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume marketing environments and want to help shape clear, accurate, and on-brand content in agri-business.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and proofread high volumes of marketing and communications content across multiple formats (digital, print, web, social, video, presentations, etc.).
- Assess grammar, spelling, punctuation, AP Style adherence, clarity, readability, tone consistency, terminology accuracy, and brand compliance.
- Correct inconsistencies, unclear language, errors, and recommend improvements to writers and stakeholders.
- Fact-check product references, claims, and terminology.
- Ensure all content aligns with legal, regulatory, editorial, portfolio, and brand language requirements.
- Collaborate closely with writers, designers, strategists, project managers, and marcomms teams.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, consistently meeting deadlines.
- Continuously expand knowledge of Corteva Crop Protection products, portfolios, and ag terminology.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s in English or related field (Master’s a plus).
- Expertise in AP Style (candidates must be able to demonstrate).
- Proven proofreading/editing experience in high-volume, digital marketing, communications, advertising, publishing, or related corporate content environments.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, PDF markup, and content review tools (e.g., Optimizely or similar).
- Strong communication, collaboration, time-management, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, deadline-driven settings; able to maintain high accuracy across many concurrent tasks.
- General familiarity with ag-industry terminology (crops, products, livestock).
Preferred:
- Prior experience in agribusiness, life sciences, or regulated communications.
- Experience working within enterprise or omnichannel marketing workflows.

- This is a contractor position; medical surveillance/clearances not required.
