Payrate: $32.00-38.00 an hour
We are seeking a Business & Probate Paralegal to join our team in Dover, NH. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with 2–5 years of law firm experience who can independently manage case responsibilities, support attorneys, and provide high-level legal assistance throughout all stages of the legal process.
What You’ll Do
- Manage assigned legal matters from inception through resolution while maintaining accurate case files and documentation.
- Prepare, draft, review, and edit legal documents, pleadings, motions, discovery materials, correspondence, and other filings.
- Assist attorneys with litigation preparation, including discovery, case organization, exhibits, and trial support.
- Conduct legal research and assist with analyzing statutes, regulations, court rules, and case law.
- Coordinate conflict checks, engagement letters, client intake, and matter opening procedures.
- Maintain attorney calendars, track court deadlines, hearings, filings, and case milestones.
- Prepare and file documents with state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with applicable procedures.
- Support Business, Real Estate, Probate, and Litigation matters through document preparation and case management.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, witnesses, and other legal professionals.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience as a Paralegal in a law firm environment.
- Litigation experience is required.
- Experience supporting Business, Real Estate, Probate, or related legal matters strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures, motions, discovery, court filings, and case deadlines in New Hampshire.
- Excellent legal writing, organization, and document management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Experience with Filevine, LMS, or legal case management software is a plus.
