Material Handler (1st & 3rd Shift) – Kelly in Partnership with Cummins
Location: Forest City, NC
Pay Rate: $17.25–$18.25 per hour
Shifts Available: 1st Shift – 6:30 am – 3:00 pm and 3rd Shift – 9:30 pm – 6:00 am
Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-hire
Kelly, in partnership with Cummins in Forest City, NC, is seeking dependable and safety-conscious Material Handlers for both 1st and 3rd shifts! Join a global leader and support shop-floor operations by ensuring components are shipped on time and helping to keep everything running smoothly.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial vehicles.
- Pick and stage customer orders accurately using an RF scanner.
- Unload incoming shipments and store products in the correct locations.
- Prepare, wrap, label, and load outbound shipments according to guidelines.
- Perform cycle counts and replenish stock as directed.
- Maintain clean and organized pallet staging areas.
- Assist with team lifts for items over 50 lbs and follow all safety protocols.
- Support general warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Certification or willingness to obtain certification for powered industrial equipment.
- Basic math and computer skills required; familiarity with Microsoft Office and WMS (Red Prairie) a plus, training provided.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to changing demands.
- Physical ability to handle frequent lifting and other warehouse tasks.
