Inspector I

Location: Wilsonville, Oregon
Pay Rate: $20.90 per hour
Schedule: Swing Shift — Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Position Summary

The Inspector I is responsible for performing and coordinating daily quality inspection activities throughout the manufacturing process, including incoming, in-process, and final inspections. This position helps ensure that products meet established specifications, regulatory requirements, internal procedures, and customer expectations.

The Inspector I serves as a key connection between the Quality and Operations teams by supporting consistent inspection practices, identifying and escalating quality concerns, and helping maintain overall product quality and production continuity.

Essential Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily quality control inspection activities based on production priorities, product requirements, and potential risks.
  

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections as needed to support production and maintain workflow continuity.
  

• Ensure inspections are completed in accordance with inspection plans, engineering drawings, product specifications, and standardized inspection methods.
  

• Support compliance with internal quality procedures and applicable standards, including ISO 13485 and ISO 9001.
  

• Identify, document, and escalate critical quality concerns that may affect product quality, delivery schedules, or regulatory compliance.
  

• Make independent decisions regarding product acceptability within established procedures and guidelines.
  

• Communicate inspection results and quality concerns effectively to Quality, Operations, and other relevant departments.
  

• Support timely resolution of inspection issues and nonconforming product concerns.
  

• Maintain accurate inspection records and complete required data entry.
  

• Monitor work areas for safety risks and follow all safety procedures and requirements.
  

• Support and promote 5S, safety standards, quality objectives, and consistent adherence to company and plant policies.
  

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
  

• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience, preferably in manufacturing, quality, or inspection.
  

• Working knowledge of production flow and manufacturing processes.
  

• Ability to make independent decisions regarding product quality.
  

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  

• Basic computer skills, including data entry.
  

• Experience with SAP or a comparable manufacturing or enterprise system preferred.
  

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 required; familiarity with ISO 13485 strongly preferred.
  

• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk frequently throughout the work shift.
  

• Ability to perform repetitive movements associated with inspection activities.
  

• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow required safety procedures.
