Kelly Science is seeking a Microbiology Laboratory Analyst for a company located in Westbrook. ME.
Pay: $19-21/hour
Shift: Sunday-Thursday 8am-5pm
Employment Type: Full Time; Temp-to-hire
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts microbiological analyses of food samples and accurately records results in the lab information management system.
- Prepares, receives, and logs samples, including managing associated paperwork.
- Supports development and documentation of new analytical procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Performs routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and ensures all work complies with established quality and safety guidelines.
- Carries out additional lab duties as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a scientific related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in microbiology, preferably having experience performing identifications by microscope.
- Must possess strong math and computer skills, the ability to document work accurately, be detail oriented, and demonstrate proficiency in statistical, communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
