Pouch Operator 
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Shift: 6:30am-2:30pm or 6:45am-2:45pm or 7am-3pm
 

Position Summary:
The Pouch Operator is a position responsible for inspecting, over-pouching, and performing quality checks on filled bags containing IV therapies, premixed drugs, renal therapies, and other sterile solutions. This role contributes to our mission of saving and sustaining lives.

Essential Job Duties:

• Over-pouch and seal bags containing solutions or premixed drugs at a rate consistent with production needs
  

• Inspect over-pouches, bags, and components to ensure quality standards are met
  

• Perform scheduled quality checks using gauges and scales
  

• Conduct and document scheduled cleaning activities
  

• Report and address any safety, quality, mechanical, or discrepancy issues
  

• Apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment using 6S principles
  

• Correct packaging or seal issues as identified
  

• Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment:

• Class III Controlled Environment; PPE and gowning required (safety glasses, shoes, ear plugs, hairnet, beard cover, additional PPE when cleaning/loading trucks)
  

• Exposure to elevated noise levels
  

• Working around equipment, machinery, and conveyor belts
  

• Occasional use of chemical cleaners and disinfectants

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  

• Minimum age: 18 years
  

• Basic English written and verbal communication skills
  

• Ability to comprehend, follow, and communicate written and verbal safety and quality instructions
  

• Basic mathematics skills
  

• Ability to obtain Inspector Certification

Preferred Experience:

• One year of manufacturing experience preferred
  

• CRC Career Readiness Certification at the Silver level

Physical Requirements:

• Continuous grasping, pushing/pulling up to 15 lbs, and reaching with hands and arms
  

• Frequently lifting and carrying up to 15 lbs throughout the shift
  

• Normal visual acuity and color distinction
  

• Ability to complete quick, repetitive processes using both hands and arms
  

• Must be able to squat, climb, reach above/below shoulder level, twist and bend at neck and waist, and balance
  

• Occasionally specialized physicals required for working with certain drug codes
