Metrology/Calibration Technician

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Metrology/Calibration Technician for a leading pharmaceutical company in Redwood City, CA. If you’re ready to support the reliability of critical manufacturing operations and take the next step in your technical career, trust The Experts at Hiring Experts.

Pay Rate:
$40-45/hour

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 10:00am to 6:30pm
On-call after-hours and weekends required (compensated)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform calibrations and preventative maintenance on a wide range of instrumentation and equipment.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in alignment with regulatory and compliance standards.

  • Troubleshoot and repair facility and production equipment.

  • Support continuous improvement and compliance initiatives.

  • Oversee and escort third-party vendors (HVAC, purified water, carbon abatement, etc.) and document all activities in the work order system.

  • Review open work orders and perform compliance checks in accordance with site SOPs.

  • Respond to BMS alarms and utility system alerts to determine if a site visit or reset is needed.

  • Support regulatory standards and ensure all maintenance activities meet cGMP requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Science or related field.

  • 5+ years of facilities/maintenance experience in a cGMP manufacturing setting. Comfort managing third-party contractors and closing work orders.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic control systems. Experience with troubleshooting.

  • Experience managing calibration schedules and maintaining compliance documentation.
