Salary: $18/hour during training, $19.50/hour once training is completed
Shift: 6pm-6am; will train on 1st shift (6:30-6pm) for approx. 3 weeks

What’s a typical day as a Crater? You’ll be:
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling lumber to build custom wooden crates, skids, and bracing based on blueprints, drawings, or work orders
- Operating power tools such as nail guns, saws, drills, and staplers safely and efficiently
- Securing products for shipment with blocking, padding, and strapping to prevent damage
- Inspecting materials and finished products for accuracy and stability, ensuring compliance with shipping requirements
- Applying labels, stencils, and shipping documentation to completed crates
- Maintaining accurate production and material usage records
- Assisting with material handling using pallet jacks or forklifts
- Performing basic equipment maintenance and keeping your work area clean and organized
- Participating in continuous improvement, 5S, and waste reduction efforts
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and assembly drawings
- Are skilled in the safe use of hand and power tools, including nail guns, saws, drills, and tape measures
- Possess strong mechanical aptitude and spatial awareness for securing complex products
- Demonstrate basic math skills for accurate measuring and cutting
- Have knowledge of wood types, fasteners, and crating materials (preferred)
- Can lift, carry, and maneuver items weighing up to 100 lbs
- Show attention to detail and safety awareness to prevent injury or product damage
- Are able to work independently or as part of a small team to meet shipping deadlines
- Are committed to quality workmanship, housekeeping, and continuous improvement
- Hold a high school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Have 3–6 months of related experience and/or training (preferred)
