About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Global Service to drive the success of our worldwide service operations. This pivotal role ensures our customers receive exceptional support while maintaining the reliability and profitability of our products—from advanced semiconductor robotics to electric motor technology.
You will:
- Lead and shape the strategy and day-to-day execution of our global service organization, covering field services, customer support, partner networks, RMA/repair, and spare parts.
- Serve as the executive escalation point for critical customer concerns and foster strong relationships with stakeholders—including customers, engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality teams.
- Standardize processes and metrics across service and repair operations, oversee failure analysis, and drive improvements in quality, turnaround times, and product reliability.
- Plan and execute service readiness for new product launches, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless roll-out.
- Partner with supply chain teams to ensure spare parts availability, minimize customer downtime, and manage service financials including revenue forecasting and budgeting.
- Be the voice of the customer, championing satisfaction and continuous improvement across the organization.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in semiconductor equipment, robotics, automation, vacuum systems, manufacturing, or a related high-tech field.
- Hands-on technical background, with the ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Proven customer-facing leadership, with a track record of managing service escalations and building lasting partnerships.
- Strong analytical mindset—skilled at interpreting quality, reliability, and warranty data to inform improvement actions.
- Cross-functional team player with experience supporting new product introductions (NPI).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations or related discipline required (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred); Master’s degree a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%, sometimes on short notice, both domestically and internationally.
- Must consent to and pass background and drug testing.
