Job Description

Join our Princeton Production team as a Corn Sorter, where you’ll help ensure high-quality seed processing by removing nonconforming material such as husks, stalks, damaged product, rogues, inert materials, and weeds. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace while performing repetitive lifting, reaching, standing, stooping, and twisting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remove nonconforming materials from corn seed production lines.

  • Keep the work area clean and organized.

  • Adhere to safety and PPE procedures (gloves and safety glasses provided).

  • Complete allergy screening before assignment.

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to continuous elevated noise levels and moving conveyors.

  • Requires standing, sitting, and frequent motion with arms and hands.

  • Spanish-speaking workers are welcome</strong>; each team will have a bilingual lead.

Dress Code & PPE

  • Closed-toe shoes required (no steel-toes needed).

  • Long pants and shirts that cover torso and shoulders required.

  • PPE (gloves, safety glasses) provided at no cost.

Schedule

  • Team 1: Mon-Fri, 6:00am–12:00pm; Sat, 6:00am–6:00pm

  • Team 2: Mon-Fri, 12:00pm–6:00pm; Sun, 6:00am–6:00pm

  • Note: All candidates must be available for either team. Schedules may change after a few weeks to longer weekday hours.

  • Extended Harvest Hours: (anticipated a few weeks in)

    • 1st shift: 6:00am–1:00pm

    • 2nd shift: 1:00pm–8:00pm

    • Weekend shifts remain 6:00am–6:00pm


Compensation

  • New Sorters: $16.00/hr

  • Returning Sorters: $16.50/hr

  • 2nd Shift Differential: + $0.75/hr

  • Weekly Perfect Attendance Bonus: $50 (submitted as misc. invoice)

Additional Information

  • Regular and reliable attendance required.

  • Transportation to/from job site is the worker’s responsibility.

  • All allergen screenings must be completed before starting.
