Job Title: Production Associate
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM (shift schedules may include weekends; hours subject to business needs)
Position Overview
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Production Associates to join our team. In this essential role, you will support daily production operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments. Solid transportation is required.
Steel-toed shoes are required. If you do not have them, we may provide composite safety shoe covers.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately complete production tasks with limited supervision and prioritize safety at all times
- Transfer carts of production and product trays in and out of chillers (38? F), ensuring proper organization in the WIP (Work In Progress) area
- Attend to product alignment at the Garvey table area
- Flip trays and rework products that are below specifications as needed
- Keep your work area clean and organized, following our “5 S” organizational program
- Immediately report discrepancies in product information to Supervisors/Leads
- Wear and maintain provided PPE (white lab jacket, helmet, protective glasses, shoe covers, hearing protection)
- Follow all HACCP principles, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and comply with Food and Personal Safety Procedures and company policies
- May assist in the Kitchen area and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, and be on your feet up to 10 hours per shift
- Comfortable working in cold environments (chiller room, 38? F) with appropriate attire (provided, if needed)
- Able to wear all required PPE, including hearing protection in a noisy environment
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance and perform frequent active movements (bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, etc.)
- Comfortable handling, moving, and flipping production trays and transferring carts in/out of chillers
- Possess basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Willing to perform duties across various production areas and temperature zones, including dusty and hot/cold environments
- Reliable transportation to and from work is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
- Previous food industry experience a plus
