Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $40.00/hour (Annual Equivalent: $83,200) + Company Benefits

What’s a typical day as CDL Class A Driver / ELDT Program Trainer? You’ll be:
- Managing and delivering all aspects of the Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) program, including classroom, range, and behind-the-wheel instruction
- Completing and maintaining J. J. Keller Safe & Smart® ELDT Trainer Certification
- Administering coaching sessions, skills evaluations, and proficiency assessments to CDL candidates
- Developing site-specific training materials, standard operating procedures, and qualification processes
- Tracking training metrics, preparing drivers for final qualification, and ensuring all documentation meets FMCSA standards
- Maintaining audit-ready records and supporting Training Provider Registry (TPR) compliance
- Safely operating and maneuvering Class A vehicles, ISO tankers, trailers, and related equipment on-site
- Supporting transportation, logistical, and operational activities — including equipment movement and coordination with site teams
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Hold a valid CDL Class A license with an excellent driving record
- Bring at least 2 years of experience as a Class A commercial driver and have strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations
- Are able to communicate clearly and confidently, both in classroom settings and practical training environments
- Excel in maintaining detailed documentation, records, and training compliance files
- Possess skills working with Microsoft Office and training systems
- Have experience maneuvering trailers, ISO tankers, and chassis equipment
- (Preferred) Have prior driver trainer, fleet instructor, or ELDT program instructor experience, or a background in transportation training or safety
- (Preferred) Possess knowledge of Training Provider Registry requirements, experience developing training SOPs, or a HazMat endorsement
