Metallizer Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
Pay: $22.00–$23.00/hour + $1.80/hour shift differential

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Metallizer Machine Operator to operate and monitor metallizing equipment, maintain product quality, perform machine changeovers, and safely handle materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, set up, and monitor metallizer and rewinding equipment.

  • Perform machine changeovers, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.

  • Thread and feed film through rollers and adjust wire feeds and machine speeds.

  • Inspect, measure, and test products to ensure quality specifications are met.

  • Perform quality checks and make pass/fail decisions.

  • Clean equipment between production runs.

  • Load, unload, pack, and transport materials and finished products.

  • Operate a forklift as needed.

  • Complete production records, labels, and quality documentation.

  • Follow all safety procedures, including hazardous-material handling requirements.

  • Cross-train on other equipment and assist team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Manufacturing experience and/or mechanical aptitude preferred.

  • Intermediate computer skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

  • Willingness to learn and work in other areas as needed.

  • 5S experience is a plus but not required.

  • Forklift experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders/stairs, and work around machinery.

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 85 pounds.

  • Respirator use and respiratory clearance may be required.

  • Confined-space entry may be required depending on equipment.

  • 100% non-smoking workplace.

Overtime

Must be willing to work overtime, including Saturday and Sunday approximately 1–2 times per month based on production needs.
