Duties:
– Must be highly motivated and driven to contribute to product solutions in a very competitive industry. A wide

– Analyze product specifications and requirements to develop and implement quality control plans
– Conduct inspections and tests to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards
– Identify and investigate product defects or non-conformities, and implement corrective actions
– Collaborate/Lead on scrap reduction projects
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes
– Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection procedures, work instructions, and reports
– Participate in project management activities, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring progress
– Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams to ensure adherence to quality standards.
-Analyze on-going statistical process capability, OTD and other relevant metrics.
– Review PFMEAs and Control plans to verify operations are following requirements.
-Apply problem solving techniques (8D, 5-Why, etc.) and SPC/advanced statistical methods (DOE, 6sigma, Red-X).
-Have excellent problem solving/analytical skills with clear understanding of design / development processes.
– Must possess analytical skills, critical thinking and excellent communication skills including technical writing.
-Be able to function effectively in a team environment and communicate at a technical level. Expect a high level of responsibility and accountability.
-Demonstrated communication and documentation skills in order to clearly convey status updates, issues, etc.
-Directly communicate with customers on quality concerns/meetings and develop relationships.
-Natural talent for completing tasks in environments with multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with sometimes challenging deadlines and workloads. A high sense of urgency required.
– Must perform Process and Product Audit on a regular basis to schedule.
– Participate in Internal System Audits.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
– Knowledge of brake pad/systems a plus
– Must have 5yrs as a Quality Engineer in a Manufacturing Plant (Automotive is required)
– Must have molding experience (transfer/compression) or related molding types.
– Proven automotive experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role
– Strong knowledge of quality assurance/control principles, methodologies, and tools
– Proficient in statistical analysis and problem-solving techniques
– Familiarity with project management concepts and practices
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
-Familiar with measurement systems, ISO9000/IATF16949 Quality Systems and Problem Solving
– Certified Internal Auditor (ISO9000 and/or IATF16949) by 3rd party or company sponsored.
– Microsoft Office, Minitab Computer skills and SPC software (Pro-Link as plus)
-ASQ Certifications (ie. CQE) a plus
– Understanding and using CMMs a plus
-Geometric Dimension and Tolerance knowledge a plus
-Work out on floor majority of the time (80/20)
