Now Hiring: Utility Worker

Location: Myerstown, PA
Shift: 2nd Shift – 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday – Friday
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

At Kelly®, we connect talented people with great opportunities. We’re currently seeking a Utility Worker for 2nd Shift to support our client’s production operations in Myerstown, PA.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety guidelines, PPE requirements, cGMPs, OSHA regulations, and SOPs

  • Use hand tools and cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, bin washers, ultrasonic baths) to clean machines, machine parts, floors, walls, and facility areas

  • Operate a forktruck and material handling equipment to move materials and stage product bins for shipment

  • Support recycling and “green” initiatives by separating and disposing of materials appropriately

  • Document and dispose of hazardous waste in compliance with cGMPs

  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks and report PM needs for department machines

  • Manage store requisitions, order and maintain department inventory supplies

  • Coordinate work with contractors and vendors as needed

  • Assist with packaging, sorting, and manufacturing tasks during plant shut down periods or as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Demonstrated ability to work safely in a production environment

  • Mathematical aptitude (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, metric system)

  • Experience in a GMP/SOP environment

  • Good PC skills—including email, electronic databases, Lotus Notes, and online HR tools

  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions from SOPs, manuals, and other workplace documentation

  • Technical troubleshooting ability

  • Willingness to work overtime as production demands require

Preferred Experience:

  • Cleaning/janitorial experience
