Reach Truck Specialist / Warehouse Associate – 3rd Shift

Location: Woodridge, IL
Pay: $22.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 PM–6:00 AM
Overtime: Required as needed
Position Type: Temporary with potential for full-time conversion based on performance
Training: 1st Shift, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM for approximately 2–3 weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Material Handling Specialist / Warehouse Associate to join a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing operation in Woodridge, IL. This position is responsible for receiving, moving, locating, picking, and staging raw materials and finished goods in support of production and customer orders.

The ideal candidate will have strong reach truck and forklift experience, excellent attendance, a positive attitude, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, move, locate, pick, and kit raw materials for production.

  • Pick, prepare, and stage finished goods and sales orders for shipment.

  • Safely operate a reach truck and forklift to move materials throughout the warehouse.

  • Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.

  • Prepare outbound orders and assist with proper trailer loading, blocking, and bracing.

  • Perform inventory and shipment audit checks accurately.

  • Support production by removing empty pallets, totes, and drums.

  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures, SOPs, and DOT hazardous-material requirements.

  • Maintain a clean and organized 5S work environment.

  • Use basic computer systems for email, documentation, forms, and warehouse-related functions.

  • Complete assigned tasks accurately and within required timeframes.

  • Work overtime or stay later when necessary to support production and customer demands.

  • Perform additional warehouse and material-handling duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Reach truck experience is required.

  • Forklift experience strongly preferred.

  • 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Previous chemical or hazardous-material handling experience is a plus.

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.

  • Dependable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

  • Ability to multitask and work independently with limited supervision.

  • Basic computer and math skills.

  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate instructions in English.

  • Must be flexible and willing to perform a variety of warehouse responsibilities.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Selected candidates must successfully complete all required pre-employment screening, including:

  • Drug screen and physical

  • Required MEO physical

  • Sight and hearing testing through Premier Occupational Health in Bolingbrook, IL
