Quality Control Inspector (Temp to Perm Position)
Position: Quality Inspector
Schedule: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18/hr
Training: First 2 weeks, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Summary
The Quality Inspector provides operational and administrative support to the quality function, coordinating and performing quality assurance activities to ensure product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections of products in accordance with acceptance criteria, internal standards, and customer requirements.
- Record, analyze, and report results of inspection activities.
- Control and report nonconforming materials.
- Coordinate inspection activities with production personnel.
- Research and resolve quality issues with management and client services teams.
- Maintain quality records and attend production, program, or project meetings as assigned.
- Promote product quality, process improvement, and customer satisfaction.
- Follow established Safety, Security, and Housekeeping protocols.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree from a two-year college or university preferred.
- One to two years of related quality inspection experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong verbal, written, and listening skills.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and clearly communicate SOPs, supervisors’ instructions, and work orders.
- Keen attention to detail; maintains complete and accurate records.
- Effective self-management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Works well under general supervision.
- General knowledge of computers and MS Office (Word, Excel).
Certificates and Licenses:
- Certified Quality Auditor certification is a plus.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Exposure to manufacturing environment conditions such as temperature fluctuations, dust, noise, and the occasional presence of moving mechanical parts or airborne particles.
- Moderate noise level.
Additional Details
- Regular day schedule; may be periodically assigned to alternative shifts.
- No travel required.
- Use of various equipment, tools, and machinery, including computers, scales, shrink wrappers, pallet wrappers, and banders.
