Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Research Associate, Analytical Development for a contract-to-hire position at a cutting-edge client in Tustin, California. Pay: $31 – $38/hour
Schedule: Full-time onsite | Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Overview
Our client is an industry-leading clinical and commercial biologics CDMO focused on developing and manufacturing life-saving biopharmaceuticals and creating innovative solutions to improve patient outcomes.
In this role, you will work closely with experienced Analytical Scientists to identify and characterize protein biologics. You’ll develop Cell-based, ELISA, HPLC, CE, PCR, and/or SDS-PAGE methods while interfacing with Quality Control as methods are transferred into that group for cGMP testing. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced team making a real difference in the world of biologics.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tasks to support the development, optimization, validation, and routine testing of protein therapeutics via protein characterization techniques
- Demonstrate proficiency in one or more of the following: ELISA, Cell-Based Assays, HPLC, CE, icIEF, PCR, SDS-PAGE
- Document method development and validation activities according to current practices
- Assist in training analysts on new methods and transfer methods to the cGMP Quality Control lab as necessary
- Work in a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize workload effectively
- Provide regular updates to the Process Development department and other functional teams as necessary
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in the Biological or Physical Sciences with 2+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated working knowledge of scientific principles
- Experience with analytical method development using bioanalytical techniques
- Hands-on experience with: ELISA, Cell-Based Assays, HPLC, CE, icIEF, PCR, SDS-PAGE
- (Preferred) Experience in assay validation/qualification and familiarity with industry regulations applicable to job functions
