Material Handler 

Job Summary:
Kelly is hiring for a Temporary Material Handler position is responsible for various duties, including prep work for operations, rotating between line positions, handling ingredients, assembling cases, placing products on the line, packing finished products, and maintaining cleanliness. This role requires adherence to all safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while ensuring quality standards are met.

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 6:50 am – 3:00 pm (overtime and weekend work may be required)

Pay: $19.69 an hour
Location: Archbold, OH- Onsite

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ability to work assigned schedule and required overtime

  • Regular attendance to meet production goals

  • Ability to follow instructions accurately

  • Willingness to use or learn equipment and tools required for the position

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs

Job Duties:

  • Wear all required personal protective equipment and perform safety checks on equipment before use

  • Feed production equipment, position boxed ingredients, fill trays and magazines, assemble cases, and monitor equipment as needed

  • Manually place required portions of ingredients into products or trays moving along the conveyor

  • Pack finished cartons into cases, push full cases to sealing areas, and hand stack cases on pallets

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, properly dispose of waste, and clean tools and equipment as needed

  • Attend daily shift meetings, safety briefings, and other required meetings

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and workplace safety standards

  • Understanding of procedures to minimize damage and loss

  • Knowledge of 5S organizational principles

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of production or related experience preferred
