Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate
Location: Groveport, OH
Pay Rate: $18.50/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Protective Equipment: Steel-toed shoes required

Job Summary
We are hiring a Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team! This position is responsible for accurately picking, preparing, staging, shipping, and receiving customer orders while maintaining a safe, organized, and productive warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Pick customer orders accurately and prepare them for shipment.

  • Verify product quantities, labels, paperwork, and shipping information.

  • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.

  • Safely operate material-handling equipment to move products throughout the warehouse.

  • Stage completed orders according to delivery routes and schedules.

  • Organize products by hospital unit when required.

  • Repack and weigh orders requiring special handling.

  • Place incoming merchandise into inventory.

  • Assist with physical inventory counts.

  • Operate forklifts to unload trucks.

  • Report damaged or malfunctioning warehouse equipment.

  • Connect equipment batteries to charging stations at the end of the shift.

  • Help maintain warehouse security, cleanliness, and safety.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Previous distribution center or warehouse experience is a plus.

  • Warehouse or Operations Certification is a plus.

  • Basic math, reading, typing, and recordkeeping skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagrammatic instructions.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Willingness to learn new equipment and WMS technology.

  • Ability and willingness to work required overtime.

  • Must follow all company safety rules and requirements.

  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Reliable attendance is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely perform warehouse and material-handling duties.

  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

  • Steel-toed/protective footwear meeting ASTM F2413-11 standards is required and must be provided by the employee on the first day.
