Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hours per week
Pay: $40 – $47 per hour
Kelly Services is hiring a Strategic Buyer for a contract opportunity in Greensboro, NC. This role is ideal for a procurement professional with experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiations, and cost reduction.
What You’ll Do
- Lead strategic sourcing activities within an assigned commodity or purchasing category.
- Identify and drive cost-reduction and sourcing opportunities.
- Develop and implement purchasing and commodity strategies.
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships.
- Negotiate supplier contracts and commercial terms.
- Coordinate supplier integration plans with internal teams.
- Monitor market conditions that may impact material/service availability and pricing.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing requirements and define supplier expectations.
- Analyze marketplace trends and supplier capabilities.
- Establish supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support procurement transformation, digitalization, and sustainability initiatives as needed.
What You Bring
- 2–5 years of purchasing, procurement, or strategic sourcing experience.
- Experience with strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
- Strong understanding of procurement and purchasing processes.
- Experience driving cost savings or cost-reduction initiatives.
- Supplier relationship management experience.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Experience with commodity/category purchasing is a plus.
This is an onsite Greensboro opportunity for a Buyer who wants to be involved in strategic sourcing—not simply transactional purchasing.
