Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Scientist, Antibody Developability for a fully benefited contract-to-hire opportunity with a biotechnology client in the Bay Area that is developing the next generation of antibody therapeutics. Overview
Join our client, a trailblazer in AI-driven drug discovery, and transform the landscape of protein therapeutics! We’re seeking a creative and highly skilled bench scientist who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about advancing late-stage AI-designed therapeutics from their innovative platform to IND-ready stage.
What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Charge: Design and execute in-use dose solution studies, ensuring seamless compatibility of cutting-edge drug candidates with administration materials.

  • Innovate at the Bench: Develop novel, ultra-sensitive protein characterization methods (qSEC, RP-HPLC, CEX, particle counting, etc.) that set industry standards for quality assessment and recovery.

  • Advance Drug Candidates: Drive formulation screening, rigorous stress testing, and illuminating peptide mapping to identify and elevate top leads for further clinical development.

  • Champion Developability: Assess and optimize purity, stability, tolerability, and biophysical properties across multiple programs, with meticulous data interpretation and documentation to fuel accelerated progress.

  • Collaborate for Impact: Partner and oversee external CROs, ensuring world-class testing and analytics for our industry-leading therapeutics pipeline.

  • Amplify Your Findings: Distill and communicate complex scientific discoveries, propose strategic next steps, and broadcast insights across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Discover & Deploy New Tech: Stay ahead of the curve by scouting, validating, and implementing state-of-the-art analytical tools and developability technologies that set new industry benchmarks.

Who You Are:

  • Academic & Industry Visionary: PhD in Biochemistry or related discipline, with 5+ years of hands-on biotech expertise. Exceptional non-PhD candidates with deep bench experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Analytical Mastermind: Proven excellence in developing and optimizing chromatography-based assays and methods.

  • Protein Characterization Expert: Extensive experience with biophysical and analytical evaluation of antibodies and fragments, SEC, HIC, CE-SDS, DLS, DSF, ELISA, LC-MS, and more.

  • Data-Driven Communicator: Track record of converting complex data into actionable insights that drive results and innovation.

  • Technology Trailblazer: Eager to rapidly learn, adopt, and deploy next-gen technologies that boost output, efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
