Outside Sales Representative – Petrochemical & Industrial Markets
Location: Hybrid | Houston Headquarters & Expanded Houston-area Territory
This position is primarily field-based, supporting customers throughout the Deer Park, Pasadena, South Houston, 225 Corridor, Pearland, East Alvin, Lake Jackson, and Freeport areas. Candidates should reside in or near the territory to effectively manage customer relationships and travel to client sites. While most time will be spent meeting with customers, you’ll also be expected to periodically work from and attend meetings at the Houston headquarters.
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $75-100k, plus quarterly bonus potential

Kelly is seeking an Outside Sales Representative (Petrochemical &
Industrial Markets) to work with our client, a private, growing company with approximately 70 employees, on a direct hire basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the industrial industry but is ready to take their career outside of the plant environment. The company offers the opportunity to leverage your existing industry knowledge and technical skill set in a customer-facing sales role, with sales training, a flexible hybrid schedule, and opportunities for career growth and recognition.

The Outside Sales Representative will:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and deliver solutions

  • Manage and grow an established book of business while identifying opportunities to increase revenue within existing customer accounts

  • Expand existing relationships by uncovering new contacts, departments, applications, and projects within customer organizations to drive organic account growth

  • Increase sales volumes through cross-selling and add-on opportunities

  • Work with inside sales, supply chain teams to support territory strategies and customer success

  • Achieve sales objectives, develop and nurture customer relationships, create customer-focused solutions, and deliver value in partnership with the Sales Team and Principals

  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of the industry, technologies, applications, and customers within assigned account base

  • Ensure an excellent customer experience

  • Manage multiple accounts and internal/external communications simultaneously

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

  • 2+ years of outside sales experience (industrial experience is a plus)

  • OR inside sales experience within the industrial, petrochemical, or related markets with a strong desire to transition into an outside sales role

  • Experience selling into or supporting customers in the petrochemical, oil & gas, life sciences, semiconductor, or broader industrial manufacturing markets is highly preferred

  • Industrial professionals with strong technical knowledge and a desire to transition from a plant-based or technical role into sales are encouraged to apply

  • Strong interest in the industrial industry and an ability to leverage technical or industry knowledge in a customer-facing role

  • Competitive, motivated, and driven to exceed goals

  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Coachable and adaptable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
