$40.00 per hour – this position can be temp to hire if you can switch to 2nd shift once hired?
1st Shift – 6:30am – 3:30pm
What’s a typical day as Warehouse Supervisor? You’ll be:
- Leading, coaching, and providing daily direction to a team of 30+ employees supporting outbound warehouse operations
- Overseeing daily order picking, packing, staging, loading, and shipping activities to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and shipped on time
- Managing daily workload, labor allocation, and workflow based on order volume and shipping priorities
- Monitoring outbound KPIs including productivity, order accuracy, on-time shipping, quality, attendance, and safety
- Utilizing SAP to manage and monitor outbound transactions, inventory movement, order status, and operational reporting
- Coordinating dock activity and outbound shipments to maintain efficient product flow
- Identifying and resolving issues that could impact order fulfillment or shipping deadlines
- Maintaining a strong presence on the warehouse floor and actively engaging with employees throughout the shift
- Supporting employee onboarding, training, development, and corrective action processes
- Partnering with transportation, inventory, customer service, and other operational teams to resolve shipping and fulfillment issues
- Identifying opportunities to improve outbound productivity, workflow, accuracy, and overall operational efficiency
- Ensuring all company policies, procedures, and safety standards are consistently followed
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have previous outbound warehouse or distribution supervisory experience
- Demonstrated experience directly leading teams of 30+ employees
- Possess hands-on SAP experience (required)
- Have a strong understanding of outbound distribution, order fulfillment, picking, packing, staging, loading, and shipping
- Are experienced in managing productivity and operational KPIs in a high-volume warehouse environment
- Can plan labor and allocate employees based on daily shipping volume and priorities
- Have experience with employee coaching, performance management, attendance, and accountability
- Possess strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Can manage changing priorities and shipping deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Are comfortable using warehouse management systems, operational reporting tools, and Microsoft Office
- (Preferred) Have experience within a large, high-volume distribution center
- (Preferred) Have experience with continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- (Preferred) Have experience managing outbound dock and shipping operations and implementing process improvements
