EHS Specialist – 1st Shift
Type: Direct Hire – On-site
Location: Sedalia, MO

Salary: $75,000-$85,000

Kelly Engineering is partnering with a leading global manufacturing company to hire an EHS Specialist. This role supports environmental, health, and safety programs, regulatory compliance, employee training, and continuous improvement at the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain site-specific EHS programs, including confined space, hazard communication, waste management, stormwater, ergonomics, and emergency response.

  • Conduct EHS inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.

  • Facilitate EHS training for new hires and employees.

  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate EHS records and compliance documentation.

  • Analyze EHS performance data and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with employees, management, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field preferred.

  • Two to five years of relevant EHS experience; manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of EHS regulations, management systems, and risk assessment methods.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with EHS software is a plus.

  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
