Senior Production Associate

Location: Deland FL
Shift:
 3rd Shift Sunday thru Thursday 9pm-7am
Pay Rate: $20.50hr
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

The Senior Production Associate / Working Team Leader performs hands-on production work while providing day-to-day leadership and training to an assigned team. This role assists with planning and scheduling, equipment setup, quality inspections, troubleshooting, and meeting production goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and support the work of an assigned production group.

  • Train employees on OIs, SMPs, and SOPs and document completed training.

  • Set up equipment and perform first-piece and ongoing quality inspections.

  • Monitor machine and process conditions and report or correct issues.

  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, including GD&T.

  • Operate numerically controlled machines and precision equipment.

  • Use measuring tools such as micrometers, height gauges, and indicators.

  • Assist with production planning, scheduling, rework, materials, and process improvements.

  • Communicate production quantities, shortages, quality concerns, and process changes.

  • Follow all EHS, quality, and company policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to understand oral and written instructions.

  • 3 or more years of related manufacturing experience 

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Knowledge of shop math, including decimals and fractions.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience setting up and operating precision manufacturing equipment.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements

  • Repetitively lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Stand and/or sit for extended periods.

  • Perform bending and repetitive hand and wrist movements.

  • Complete visual inspections and distinguish product differences.
