Punch Press Operator

Pay: $18.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Punch Press Operator to support daily manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will lead by example, follow work instructions accurately, maintain high-quality standards, and assist the Manufacturing Manager with production activities.

Experience with the following is preferred:

  • Metal stamping

  • Die cutting

  • Converting

  • Hydraulic punch presses

  • Production equipment

  • CNC experience is not required

Essential Job Functions

  • Operate production equipment safely and properly.

  • Read and follow work orders and production instructions accurately.

  • Record part counts, lot and batch information, cure information when applicable, and scrap amounts.

  • Load, operate, identify, and properly store tooling.

  • Package products correctly to protect materials during handling and shipping.

  • Label products accurately, including part number, quantity, lot number, and other required information.

  • Identify and communicate waste generated during fabrication.

  • Record labor hours for parts produced.

  • Maintain a clean and organized shop area.

  • Record production run parameters.

  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

  • Assist the Manufacturing Manager with production-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • At least one year of experience in a related manufacturing or production field preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent physical strength and stamina.

  • Effective time-management skills.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
