Job Title: Machine Operator Assistant

Location: Carol Stream, IL
Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday–Friday
Pay: $19.50

Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator Assistant to support our production operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in preparing materials, maintaining workflow, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepare labels for finished rolls and make cores to operator specifications for production orders.
  

• Prepare area with skid and skid flooring for roll protection.
  

• Move skids to slitter for efficient stacking of rolls.
  

• Move rolls from slitter to skid in an organized pattern.
  

• Verify pick list against roll count.
  

• Use lift or seek assistance for moving heavy rolls from slitter to skids under operator direction.
  

• Pull rolls from stock inventory as needed.
  

• Remove scrap to compactor as directed.
  

• If forklift certified, move skids to shipping prep area.
  

• Maintain a clean work area using dust mop or floor scrubber.
  

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Safety Requirements:

• Wear steel toe or similar protective footwear at all times.
  

• Use company-furnished back support and hearing protection as required.

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physical tasks and follow safety procedures.
  

• Forklift certification is a plus.
  

• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  

• Willingness to work as part of a team.
  

• Wear steel toe shoes
