Job details
Kelly Government Solutions is a strategic supplier and business partner to the federal government and its key suppliers. We are seeking dedicated healthcare providers to conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations for Veterans applying for disability benefits with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Make a positive impact on Veterans’ lives by providing thorough, unbiased, and compassionate assessments.
About the Role – Disability Examinations for Veterans
Providers perform non-treatment disability examinations for U.S. Veterans to support the VA claims process. This is not a traditional clinical care role - there is no prescribing, treatment planning, or follow-up care required. Instead, providers focus on conducting structured assessments and documenting medical findings.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct disability exams from your own office – Veterans are scheduled to come to you
- Review medical records and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Provide medical opinions when requested and accompanied by a diagnosis, based on exam findings and documentation
- Ensure accurate, timely, and complete reporting in accordance with VA guidelines
Compensation:
- Providers are compensated per disability examination performed - there is no daily minimum requirement
- Flexible schedule & earning potential: Earn up to $4,500+ per week with no cap on earnings while scheduling examinations around your existing clinic hours.
- General Medicine providers are additionally compensated for medical opinions that are requested and meet established criteria
- Bonus opportunity: Providers who complete required trainings within two weeks will receive a $500 bonus after submitting their first 25 DBQs
What to Expect:
- No ongoing patient management or liability for care plans
- Predictable, appointment-based schedule - you will provide us with your monthly availability and appointments get scheduled for you accordingly
- Administrative and documentation-focused work with established templates
- You will receive comprehensive self-paced training (approximately 15 hours to complete) that is focused on Veteran disability evaluation topics, including military culture, TBI examinations, trauma-informed care, and environmental exposures prior to seeing Veterans.
- Cases must be submitted within 48 hours of the examination
- Length of time per examination depends on the complexity and number of conditions being evaluated, but typical General Medical exams are around 30 – 60 minutes per claimant, and Specialty Provider exams are around 15 – 45 minutes
- Dedicated support hotlines are available to assist with administrative questions, including case submission
Ideal For Providers Who:
- Want a structured, low-risk clinical environment
- Prefer assessment and documentation over direct patient care
- Are seeking flexibility or supplemental income opportunities
Requirements:
- Active US medical license (MD/DO, NP, or PA) free of sanctions
- Registered business entity, malpractice, workers’ comp and business insurance
- Must operate as a business entity with a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) for payment purposes.
- ADA-compliant private office, located within 50 – 100 miles of the specified locations, where you can see patients in person
- 1+ year of clinical experience
- BLS certification
Who We’re Seeking:
- General Medicine and Specialty Providers
- Providers with offices located within a 50 – 100-mile radius of target cities to support local demand
