Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour plus a $2.75 shift differential

Shift:

3rd shift, Monday–Friday 11:00pm–7:00am
Must be willing to work overtime, including 1 to 2 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) at least 1-2 times a month.

What’s a typical day as LA30 – Machine Operator? You’ll be:

  • Reading schedules for machine changeovers and production runs

  • Operating, setting up, and monitoring embossing/converting machinery and related equipment

  • Ensuring sufficient inventory for production and performing material handling tasks (including loading/unloading, packing, transport)

  • Observing machine operation, detecting defects or deviations, making necessary machine adjustments

  • Recording production run quantities and performing quality control checks following SOPs and job orders

  • Consulting with team leads/technical staff on questionable items and making required machine changeovers

  • Cleaning machines and parts between runs, sometimes several times per shift

  • Operating forklifts/fork trucks and following safety protocols, including hazardous material handling as required

  • Cross-training and assisting in other departments as needed

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a high school diploma or GED (required)

  • Bring experience in a manufacturing environment and/or possess strong mechanical aptitude (preferred)

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and good judgment

  • Are able to adapt to a demanding work environment and are willing to learn and work in other departments as needed

  • Possess basic computer skills and are comfortable using production software

  • Are able to stand, walk, reach, and lift/move up to 65 pounds as needed

  • Can complete a respiratory clearance exam and use a respirator as required

  • Are willing to work overtime and occasional weekends

  • Can comply with a 100% non-smoking campus policy
