Assembly Operator I
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Shift: 1s: 6am-2 p.m. Monday-Friday
Location: Landisville, PA
Position Overview
Kelly Services are seeking an Temporary entry-level Assembly Operator I to prepare equipment, assemble products, perform quality inspections, and document production results. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare machines, tools, and equipment for daily production.
- Set up and assemble products according to work instructions.
- Perform visual and dimensional quality inspections.
- Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
- Read and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and written procedures.
- Complete quality inspection and production documentation accurately.
- Identify product defects and complete the required documentation and notifications.
- Communicate operational issues to setup personnel, technicians, and supervisors.
- Make authorized adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Use inspection data to verify that products meet established standards.
- Rotate between repetitive hand-work tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience working with mechanical systems is helpful.
- Ability to use or learn inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions.
- Basic computer navigation and data-entry skills.
- Ability to read and write English.
- High energy, self-motivated, dependable, and willing to learn and advance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise processes.
Physical Requirements
- Safely and reliably lift and carry at least 30 pounds.
- Push or pull up to 180 pounds with assistance from a hand dolly.
- Stand, sit, walk, and balance frequently throughout the shift.
- Perform repetitive hand work, with tasks rotating daily.
- Work 8–10 hours as required.
- Work in an uncontrolled climate, including periods of excessive heat.
