Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Monday- Friday – Onsite

Job Summary
Kelly Services is seeking a Temporary Entry-Level Assembly Operator I to prepare equipment, assemble products, perform quality inspections, and document production results. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, motivated to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare machines, equipment, and workstations for daily operations.

  • Assemble products by following basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and written procedures.

  • Perform visual and dimensional quality inspections.

  • Use inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.

  • Complete quality inspection documentation accurately and independently.

  • Review inspection data and make necessary process adjustments.

  • Identify product defects and complete the required documentation and notifications.

  • Communicate equipment, quality, or production issues to the setup personnel, technician, and supervisor.

  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet established standards.

  • Complete repetitive handwork while rotating tasks throughout the day.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Experience working with mechanical systems preferred.

  • Ability to read and write English.

  • Basic computer navigation and data-entry skills.

  • Ability to understand and follow written instructions and procedures.

  • Experience using inspection or measurement equipment preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.

  • High energy, self-motivated, dependable, and willing to learn and advance.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Safely lift and carry at least 30 pounds on a dependable basis.

  • Push and pull up to 180 pounds with the assistance of a hand dolly.

  • Stand, sit, walk, and balance frequently throughout the shift.

  • Work 8–10 hours per day as required.

  • Perform repetitive hand movements.

  • Work in an uncontrolled climate, including areas with excessive heat.

  • Rotate between tasks as assigned.
