What’s a typical day as a Training and Development Advisor II? You’ll be:
- Leading the creation, review, update, and approval of competencies mapped across specific technical client groups.
- Designing, planning, and executing outcome-based learning plans spanning formal coursework, web-based training, self-study, simulator/table-top exercises, and on-the-job training.
- Building and managing learning plans in the LMS while establishing automated reporting to support leadership oversight.
- Sourcing and managing internal and external resources to design and refine technical training content.
- Driving competency assurance initiatives, gap assessments, competency measurements, and individual development plans (IDPs).
- Supporting Management of Change (MOC) processes by spearheading training needs assessments and deploying outcome-based programs.
- Maintaining complete, audit-compliant training and competency records per corporate records management policies.
- Promoting a strong learning culture, executing annual training plans, and facilitating classroom or virtual training as required.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Hold a degree in adult learning or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Bring 4–7 years of leadership and/or training development experience with a focus on technical workforces.
- Have proven, hands-on proficiency with the Articulate 360 Suite (including Storyline and RISE).
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Have background or experience in instructional design, classroom facilitation, or coaching (preferred/asset).
- Possess prior working knowledge of LMS administration and digital content creation tools (preferred/asset).
